Strange Engineering’s Aluminum housing is standard equipment for top chassis builders and champion racers. The aluminum housing is cast from aerospace grade aluminum and reinforced with vertical and horizontal ribbing along the back of the housing to minimize housing flex. The aluminum housing is machined to exacting standards; allowing for all mating pieces to amalgamate into one working piece. The tolerances that the Strange aluminum housing is machined within are extremely difficult to duplicate with a steel housing. Besides providing the best foundation for mating pieces, the aluminum housing packages are often less expensive than sheet metal housings. The competitive pricing is largely due to Strange’s substantial investment into the latest Mazak machinery and the talents of our experienced machining staff. Complete assemblies are available in both 35 and 40 spline configurations and can be ordered with or without brakes. Package prices are the same for 4-link and solid mount housings; however, 4-link packages do not include mounts.
