The “Quest for 200 MPH on Batteries” dragster team is kicking off its 2014 campaign. The car had its debut with full sheet metal and graphics in the Lincoln Electric display booth at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Car owners “Big Daddy” Don Garlits (Ocala, FL) , Brad Hadman (Tacoma, WA), and Mike Gerry (Las Vegas, NV) are pushing to break the hallowed 200 MPH barrier in the ¼ mile…using renewable battery power! Garlits first officially broke through that magic barrier in 1964. 50 years later, we aim to do it again and make some history.
